Acts 17:11; 2 Corinthians 4:2; and 2 Timothy 2:15; Revelation 22:18-19
I warn everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: If anyone adds anything to them, God will add to him the plagues described in this book. And if anyone takes words away from this book of prophecy, God will take away from him his share in the tree of life and in the holy city, which are described in this book. Revelation 22:18-19
Do you read from the Bible or read into the Bible? Do you know the difference?
How is the Bible delved into by your eyes, mind, and church? Do you seek to read into it what you want? Or, do you seek to glean what God actually has for you and the people He has called you to teach and reach? Are the views you have based on hard evidence and careful biblical study? Or, do you just take for granted what a favorite mentor or teacher or theological position has to say?
That is very true. I come from a denomination where idol worship was the main way to reach God. Not to mention that Christ was not the Mediator any longer but access to the Father happened through Christ’s mother because Jesus was very mad at the world’s sinful ways. The idea was to come through Mary to reach Jesus to reach the Father. I was the first to be reached by a non-dominational, bible believing, devil hating, tongue speaking, Holy Ghost empowered church at the age of 14. About 15 years later it hit me. Could it be possible that my great grand parents and grand parents and my parents could all be wrong? And the answer was yes. My grand parents and great grand parents are now dead. But my primary family – parents and brothers and sisters know Christ after many years of prayer. The bible and the Holy ghost are now their source of information. They have swithched denominations since the beginning of 2010. It is possible for families to be wrong in their belief of religion generation after generation.
